YP Committee Application

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Young Professionals Committee! Please complete the following questionnaire to help us learn more about you, your experience, and your commitment to the La Crosse Area business community. Your responses will help our committee evaluate candidates and select new members whose skills and values align with our mission and goals.

Fields marked with an * are required.

Please verify that you have checked the “I'm not a robot” checkbox.

Each committee member serves a two-year term. The committee meets bi-monthly for approximately one hour. Additional meetings as needed, for a large event etc. Meetings will be in-person and virtual pending on each month.  Committee work in between meetings, including member outreach and event planning, varies between an additional 1-2 hours.

Each committee member shall serve a term of two (2) years. Members may serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive terms, for a total of four (4) years. After serving two consecutive terms, a committee member must take a mandatory break of one (1) year before being eligible to serve on the committee again. After the first term of two (2) years, committee members will have a check-in with the chair/liaison to discuss moving forward with a following term of two (2) years.

Term Start and End Dates: Each term shall begin and end on the evening of the annual YP Awards. The transition of committee roles and responsibilities shall occur at this time.

Exception: If a committee member is elected as the committee chair, they may serve an additional two (2) year term as chair immediately following their initial term, regardless of the one-year break requirement. Following the completion of their term as chair, the mandatory one (1) year break will apply before they are eligible to serve on the committee again.
