Full-Time Collector in Sparta

1st Community Credit Union is accepting applications for the position of Collector in our Sparta office.  This position is responsible for monitoring the delinquency control and follow-up program to protect the credit union from losses. In addition this person oversees the third-party due diligence/vendor management program. Files legal documents, administers foreclosures, implements effective and efficient collection procedures, and responsible for legal repossession and legal disposition of collateral.  Successful applicant will have the ability to adhere to 1st CCU policies and procedures, stay abreast of all federal and state laws and regulations applicable to lending and collecting for credit unions, build and maintain relationships with members, staff, and third party vendors, and utilize skills and programs to help members develop solutions to their financial struggles.

Three years of financial lending or collections experience required. Proven ability to analyze complicated factual and mathematical situations and apply functional principles, develop solutions, exercise good judgment and solve problems effectively. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of various office machines and use of computer required. Valid WI driver's license required. This position occasionally works after hours or on Saturdays depending on collection efforts, but typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  There is some flexibility within the work schedule.
