SUMMARY: The full-time hourly position of Counter Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers at the city desk as well as helping to fill orders in our warehouse as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries and writing orders accurately
• Generate customer quotations and follow up on quotes requested
• Provide trouble-shooting and product application assistance to customers and technical support to other associates and customers
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
• Restock primary locations in the counter area, sort and place items on racks, shelves or bins according to location, and looking through product for any damage
• Keep counter display area clean and appealing
• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the sales counter
• Identify and proactively respond to opportunities to promote the sale of additional products

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow-through/follow-up
• Proficient with computers
• Active listener – can easily determine customer needs
• Excellent relationship building skills are an absolute must
• Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, including phone skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
• Product and technical knowledge that would normally be acquired in two or more years of college or technical school
• 3-5 years of field experience or equivalent training in residential/commercial application of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is preferred

Core hours will be 8am - 5pm.
