About Us

Established in 1890, Viterbo University is a coeducational Catholic university founded in the Franciscan tradition. Students are able to select from more than 70 undergraduate degree programs and five graduate programs in business, servant leadership, nursing, education, and mental health counseling. Viterbo’s nursing, education, and fine arts programs have earned an outstanding regional and national reputation for exceptional quality.

Viterbo offers small class sizes with a curriculum of high impact practices taught by professors who genuinely care about the student success. An on-campus priest and campus ministry provide many spiritually enriching experiences and service trips to create a university environment that is welcoming and hospitable to individuals of all beliefs, keeping with the university’s mission of service and leadership.
