Driftless Day at the Capitol

Description
The La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual advocacy trip to the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. This yearly initiative is designed to effectively communicate the La Crosse business community’s legislative priorities to state legislators and acknowledge their support for past regional achievements.
Our focus will be on a variety of critical issues impacting the Driftless Region, including:
- Identifying a sustainable funding mechanism for the La Crosse Regional Airport.
- Securing full funding for the La Crosse Corridor Construction Projects.
- Continuing essential advocacy for PFAS mitigation efforts.
- Supporting targeted tax relief measures for businesses navigating the current economic challenges.
Prior to our Advocacy Day Event, we will host two virtual Advocacy 101 training courses to answer our attendees' questions. Attendees are asked to only attend one of these courses.
The purchase of one Advocacy Day ticket includes a roundtrip bus ride to Madison, coffee and pastries, lunch, and a cocktail hour with heavy hor d'oeuvres and drinks.
